The Chair MOVED and Cllr Mrs Murphy SECONDED and it was RESOLVED that the press and public be excluded and the following item be considered in private session.

Appeal against suspension of Hackney Carriage and Private Hire driver's licence (Exempt Information, Paragraph 4 of Part 1 of 12A of the Local Government Act 1972).

Members were requested to consider an appeal received against the suspension of a combined  Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers’ Licence.

 

The Sub-committee considered the evidence and submissions before it and following a discussion  RESOLVED that, while Members supported  the decision to suspend the appellant’s  license following allegations made, the license should be  reinstated. However, if further relevant  information came to the attention of the licensing department, the Sub-committee would expect the consideration of this license to come before a differently constituted sub-committee for further consideration.
