Calendar of meetings
During the pandemic, Council meetings were held virtually to comply with COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing measures. However, following the Government’s decision not to renew legislation to allow councils to meet virtually and a High Court ruling, council meetings in England and Wales must be held ‘in person’ from 7 May 2021.
Following the High Court ruling, from 7 May 2021 all Council meetings will be held in the Council Chamber at Town Hall unless otherwise stated on the Agenda. The Council, under the current Government, must maintain social distancing measures and ensure that meetings are carried out in a Covid safe environment. While social distancing measures are in place, meetings will be held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, Essex.
There will be a limited number of spaces for members of the public to attend each meeting. The public are encouraged to view the meeting via the live streaming.
If you wish to attend a meeting in person, please email the committee clerk as spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis. You will only be admitted to the meeting if you have registered with Democratic Services.
